The Family Support Network of SE North Carolina promotes community awareness of children with special needs, one on one contact with people that have been there, advocacy of the children by parents, positive collaboration with parents, service delivery professionals and the community. The United Cerebral Palsy Development Center offers inclusive pre-school experience for children with and without special needs. There are physical, occupational and speech therapies on-site and an extended program for children of working parents. There is an inclusion specialist to help facilitate the success of special needs children in regular day-care environments.
